MENU makes healthy cooking easier with the new Steam Tower: an original and true Scandinavian profile for a steam tool that grants easy use and wonderful taste.
MENU’s Steam Tower is a new kitchen aid for modern, healthy cooking that is fast, easy and very tasty. MENU supports healthy lifestyle with a vision to create modern and effective design. Steam Tower is a modern steamer in porcelain with all the qualities of the traditional Asian steamer – but with a much cleaner, innovative and easy-to-use design.
Designer Christian Bjørn has been inspired by the Asian kitchen and created what is already on its way to become a Scandinavian classic.
“I have focused on a design that must function on even a professional level – but improved many details to work even better for a modern family in the kitchen daily flow,” says designer and architect Christian Bjørn. He has worked closely with Michelin-awarded cook Morten Køster, who has been part of developing the Steam Tower concept.
“Steaming is the natural and most healthy way to cook your food in a way that preserve the vitamins and minerals in the food and an important part of a lighter and more tasteful dishs,” explains Morten Køster, who has tested the Steam Tower and put together the recipe book that comes with the Steam Tower.
The Steam Tower works by placing it in the oven over water. When the water evaporates into steam, the steam will circulate around and through the layers, cooking the food in the healthiest way with a moist texture to the dishes. And since hot steam transfers no taste – it is the ideal way to cook fish, meat, vegetables and dessert together at the same time.
“Most of the food we love taste great steamed: broccoli, cauliflower, corn on the cob, carrots, artichokes, zucchini, chicken breast, pork chops, turkey, fish and seafood – and steaming is even more climate friendly, because all the food can all be cooked together,” says Morten Køster.
MENU launches a new Norm wine carafe in glass. It is a revolutionizing new decanting tool, which has been praised by leading wine experts.
MENU introduces a world class new Wine Breather Carafe with a unique double wine decantation process, granting fantastic decanting skills as well as a visual experience that impress even connoisseurs. It is true innovation designed by Norm for MENU.
The Wine Breather is a carafe for use both at home to seriously upgrade the wine we drink every day as well as by professional sommeliers at top restaurants. Because it is stunningly effective and new in the way it decants and thereby transforms the wine by releasing all the flavour and aromas.
The functionality of the carafe is that you put the wine carafe on top of the open wine bottle by using the wine aerator and then you turn the bottle upside down – allowing for a beautiful view, when all the wine runs through the carafe, while opening up and releasing its aromas and flavors.
It has been proved in leading tests that the Wine Breather aerating is so significant that 90% of the wine that is enjoyed every day will taste significally better by using the Wine Breather. The double spout is new and patented and speeds up the whole process of wine aerating.
The form of the carafe is both classic, tight and softly rounded – a combination typically for Norm’s work with its humanoid expression and shapes.

As one of MENU’s most successful designers, Pernille Vea has now designed charming MENU Black Contour Kids plates and cup for children.
MENU introduces tableware for kids – clean, minimalist and truly Scandinavian with a playful touch in form of small, happy animals. The new table wear in mini size contains plate, cup and deep plate and matches the successful Black Contour tableware.
“My kids always wanted to eat from the same plates as us grown-ups, even if the service was too fragile and unhandy for them. I have long considered how to find that perfect match between childish charm and stylish porcelain. To me Black Contour Kids has a playful look that creates a dining table atmosphere of joy, yet still bright and modern,” says designer Pernille Vea.
In her design she has been inspired by the legendary Italian cartoon figure La Linea from the 70es – with small animals coming to live from the characteristic line of Black Contour: A cat, a snail and a crocodile. Black Contour Kids is made of porcelain of the highest quality, fired at 1320 degrees Celsius, ensuring strength, durability, and an easy to clean surface.

MENU’s Panton series in porcelain is now expanded with bright new colours and a new espresso cup.
MENU originally introduced the Verner Panton porcelain series as a limited edition in 2008. Yet, the dynamic meeting between Verner Panton’s award-winning Geomety 1 pattern and designer Pernille Vea’s award-winning thermo cup was so strong that the porcelain series has since been expanded with platters, egg cups, bowls and trays.
Today, the Panton porcelain comes in five unique parts and 10 colours, the look is eternally modern and is a tremendous success.
Now, MENU introduces the new colours Midnight Blue and Pink as well as a totally new thermo cup size for espresso in five colours and a premium silver.
Verner Panton was always cutting edge as an architect and designer – eager to experiment and explore. His colourful design radiates curiosity, optimism and joy. The pattern on MENU’s thermo cups is called Geometry 1 and is from 1960. It represents Panton’s first and most famous textile design, for which he received The International Design Award in USA in 1963.
All parts are made of porcelain of the highest quality, fired at 1320 degrees Celsius, ensuring strength, durability, and an easy to clean surface. The glazing is acid-free, and therefore does not change colour.
MENU makes healthy cooking easier with the ne w Norm Pods – easy, stylish, and delicious.
MENU introduces Norm Pods, designed for storing, cooking and serving all your favorite seeds, oils and spices.
“The inspiration comes from our increasing awareness about healthy and nutritious food and our wish to grant all these seeds, oils and spices a strong presence in a stylish kitchen and dining table settings,” says architect Kasper Rønn from Norm Architects.
All MENU Norm Pods are made of glass with steel lids, granting a strict, cylindrical and masculine expression yet at the same time softened by the big radius on the top.
The Norm duo has also designed a unique Tripod Holder, where more can be stacked easily on top of each other.
“It is inspired by the classic French and Italian Oil and Vinegar sets and is meant for an easy serving of your three favorite spices and oils at the table. Additionally, it has an extra feature, as the Tripods can be stabled in an organic, sculptural and treelike storage system that can hold many Norm Pods,” says Kasper Rønn.
MENU introduces a new collaboration with Danish design-comet Design By Us. The result is a set of un ique and exotic crockery.
MENU introduces a new premium line with intelligent and significant design – Designer’s Cut.
The first design in this new line is Raw Diamonds by Us, a set of thermo cup, espresso thermo cup, vase, plate and bowl – cool and truly original crockery for great breakfast.
For the design MENU has teamed up with Design by Us – a Danish design company with quite a legacy internationally for their original and outstanding design within furniture, lamps, kitchens and interior objects of all kinds. They have been praised by Wallpaper, Elle Decor and The Times Magazine, who named Design by Us one of the ten most successful design firms in the world.
Architect Rasmus Larsson is Creative Director and founder of Design by Us and he describes his inspiration for Raw Diamonds by Us:
“We wanted to create a totally new look for a classic set of crockery: Vase, cups, platter and bowl – with a design DNA that would not be instantly readable.”
The crockery is made with multiple facets and has a matte surface, contrasting the sparkling glaze on the inside.
“We have struggled with the uncut element, which is emphasized by the matte surface. The element of surprise is to see the Asian flower motif in strong colors crawling up on the inside,” says Rasmus Larsson, who has big expectations to Raw Diamonds and wish to see it grown into even more pieces.
Raw Diamond is made of porcelain of the highest quality, fired at 1320 degrees Celsius, ensuring strength, durability, and an easy to clean surface.
